How MN education bill will affect charter schools

Gov. Mark Dayton and House Republicans came to a tentative deal Monday on education funding. resolving the biggest piece of the state budget fight.

That deal suggests there will not be a partial government shutdown, though some of the finer details on the schools plan and a couple of other plans must be fully resolved before Dayton will call a special session for lawmakers to pass.

There were a few provisions regarding charter schools that were in the first education bill Dayton vetoed. MPR News' Tom Weber discussed what might remain for charter schools in the next education bill.
