There were talks this morning in Washington between the US and Cuba in an attempt to reach a final deal to open embassies in each country and re-establishing diplomatic ties.
It's the farthest the two countries have thawed in diplomatic terms since the embargo went up and ties were cut more than 50 years ago.
Locally, the Minnesota Orchestra is still living off the glow after last weekend's historic trip to the island. They were the first US orchestra to perform in Cuba since President Obama announced plans last year to normalize relations.
