MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with University of Minnesota climatologist Mark Seeley about rain this week that came just in time for farmers in western Minnesota. That's because they just finished their spring planting in drought conditions.
He said the rain was especially beneficial for crops because it was a good soaking over time, not too much rain and too fast.
He also has a stormy forecast for the weekend for the Twin Cities.
