After their fishing trip with Gov. Mark Dayton, the leaders of the Minnesota House and Senate met behind closed doors back in St. Paul Sunday to try reach a deal on a new state budget.
So far, they haven't made much headway, and there's only a week left in the 2015 session.
Meanwhile, the conference committees for individual budget bills are meeting and highlighting the many significant disagreements that still need to be resolved.
MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with Tim Pugmire, who covers the state Capitol for Minnesota Public Radio, about the week ahead.
