The Minnesota Department of Health has confirmed another pediatric death caused by seasonal flu.
The agency's weekly influenza tally released Thursday now shows that a total of nine children under the age of 18 have died from influenza this flu season. That's the same the number of children who died during the 2009 flu pandemic.
Minnesota is still experiencing localized outbreaks of influenza. The season typically ends in late April or May.
