Gov. Mark Dayton is set to unveil his revised budget Tuesday afternoon. It's expected to include a funding increase for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system — but likely not as much as MnSCU would like.

MnSCU has had a rocky year. Administrators and faculty recently agreed to settle a bitter, monthslong dispute over a master plan for the system's future.

That happened after Dayton threatened to withhold any funding increase until the two sides came back together.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Chancellor Steven Rosenstone, MnSCU's chief executive officer. It's his plan called "Charting the Future" that's at the center of this debate.
