In sports, the University of Minnesota men's basketball team has been eliminated from the Big Ten tournament. They lost to Ohio State Thursday night by a score of 79-73.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Wild both play Friday night. There are also some interesting games Friday involving local teams in the Division III basketball tournaments.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke about that with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune.
