Toddler taken from family unharmed after chase

A 4-year-old boy has been returned to his family following an interstate chase in the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis police say the child was taken Tuesday afternoon by a man who does not have custodial rights. Authorities say the man is known to the boy's family.

The Minnesota State Patrol received a report of an erratic driver and began pursuit on northbound Interstate 494.

The suspect's vehicle became stuck in the mud in a ditch. He was arrested and the child was found unharmed.
