Today's Morning Edition music is from Big Bill Broonzy with "Key to the Highway."
During a 35-minute speech Friday night when he was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year, Bob Dylan talked about the folk tradition and how songs by Broonzy and others were the foundation of his music.
Dylan said he used to sing "Key to the Highway" a lot and if it wasn't for that song, he wouldn't have written "Highway 61 Revisited."
