No surprise but Sen. Mitch McConnell will become the new Senate Majority Leader while Sen. Harry Reid will become the minority leader. Slightly more interesting is that Reid tapped Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren for a special leadership post to reach out to liberal Democrats. (Politico)
The leadership shuffle is good news for DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who is getting a promotion and becoming the chair of the Senate Democrat' Steering and Outreach Committee. (MPR News)
