When breaking news happens, MPR News provides the context you need. Help us meet the significant demands of these newsgathering efforts.
1. Open enrollment starts Nov. 15 and closes Feb. 15.
2. If you want your coverage to start Jan. 1, you have to submit your application by Dec. 15.
3. If you have MinnesotaCare or medical assistance, you don't have to do anything right now. You will be contacted soon about renewal of that assistance.
4. PreferredOne is not offering coverage through MNsure this enrollment. If you are currently insured through their plan, Leitz said you have to take action to cancel that plan if you don't want to pay their new offered premiums. He said it's important for these customers to go through MNsure again because they might now qualify for financial assistance and will likely find a more affordable plan on the site.
5. You can receive one-on-one help in person from 3,000 navigators, brokers and insurance agents. MNsure has a searchable tool to find a helper near you.
