Leaders of the Minnesota DFL Party say first lady Michelle Obama will be in the Twin Cities for a get out the vote campaign rally in support of Sen. Al Franken and Gov. Mark Dayton.
The DFL did not release details of the visit.
“We are excited to have first lady Michelle Obama in Minnesota to support Senator Franken and Governor Dayton,” said DFL Chairman Ken Martin. “Minnesotans are energized to help get out the vote, volunteer and make sure their voices are heard on Election Day so we can keep moving Minnesota forward.”
Last week former President Bill Clinton rallied 2,700 people at the University of Minnesota, urging them to help re-elect Dayton and Franken.
The DFL said details of the first lady's visit will be announced soon.
