Fundraising-palooza: The latest on MN campaign money

WASHINGTON - Congressional campaigns are flooding the Federal Election Commission's servers with quarterly campaign finance reports ahead of a midnight deadline.

They're not quite quarterly numbers, as the reporting period in this case began on July 24 due to primary elections and ran through Sept. 30. Here's the latest on where Minnesota's House candidates stand. Numbers have been rounded down to the nearest thousand.

1st District

  • Rep. Tim Walz (DFL): Raised: $301,000; Cash on hand: $564,000

  • Jim Hagedorn (R): Raised: $71,000; Cash on hand: $40,000

2nd District

  • Rep. John Kline (R): Raised: $470,000; Cash on hand: $1.76 million

  • Mike Obermueller (DFL): Raised: $217,000; Cash on hand: $278,000

3rd District

  • Rep. Erik Paulsen (R): Raised: $449,000; Cash on hand: $1.54 million

  • Sharon Sund (DFL): Raised: $43,000; Cash on hand: $27,000

4th District

  • Rep. Betty McCollum (DFL): Raised: $134,000; Cash on hand: $262,000

  • Sharna Walgren (R): Raised: $11,000; Cash on hand: $7,000

5th District

  • Rep. Keith Ellison (DFL): Raised: $304,000; Cash on hand: $243,000
