Today's Morning Edition music starts with The Cure and its version of "Hello Goodbye" by The Beatles. It's one of the tracks that will be on a Paul McCartney tribute album due out in November.
A wide range of well-known artists will be contributing songs to the project which has been in the works since 2003. Willie Nelson, Chrissie Hynde, Smokey Robinson, Brian Wilson, Dr. John, Def Leppard, Billy Joel and Owatonna, Minn.'s own Owl City will all interpret songs written by Paul McCartney. Another Minnesota native, Bob Dylan, will take a stab at a Beatles' tune too.
