Economists try to model climate change

Economists from across the country are joining forces at the University of Minnesota starting today. It's the beginning of a two-day conference about the economics of climate change. They're working to then model the effects climate change will have on the global economy.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with V.V. Chari, founding director of the university's Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute and an adviser to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
