Some teachers feel back-to-school stress

It's the first day of school for many districts across Minnesota. But it's not just students that are feeling anxious this morning. Stress among teachers is a concern at schools nationwide. That's because it can translate to burnout, high turnover and a lower quality of education overall. The University of Wisconsin's Center for Investigating Healthy Minds has been studying mindfulness and meditation as tools for teachers to keep their stress in check. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with assistant scientist Lisa Flook who led that study.
