Target will start selling a full selection of wine, beer and hard liquor at its store in Otsego, Minnesota, this summer.
Target says liquor sales at the Otsego store will be part of a pilot program to provide customers with one-stop shopping. The Otsego store apparently will be the first Target in Minnesota to sell any alcohol with more punch than 3.2 beer and other low-alcohol beverages.
Company officials declined to say whether alcohol will be available at other stores in Minnesota.
The retailer currently sells beer, wine, and spirits at more than 1,300 stores across the country, following local regulations. Target began selling alcohol in 1996.
Target's website displays alcohol but notes it's not available for sale online, just in stores.
