The wife of former Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser will leave a state prison this week where she has served time for a fatal hit-and-run.
Amy Senser is due to be transferred from the Shakopee prison to a work release facility. She's been approved for transfer to a jail or halfway house.
Senser was convicted of criminal vehicular homicide in the 2011 death of 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong, who was struck while refilling his gas tank on a Minneapolis exit ramp.
She will be on work release until October, then she'll be on supervised release until December of next year. Senser has been in custody since July of 2012.
