Hennepin County prosecutors have charged two juveniles in a series of robberies in southwest Minneapolis and Edina.
Prosecutors charged a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, both of Minneapolis, with numerous counts of aggravated robbery and assault. They say the robbery spree happened last month.
According to the charges, in one incident the two boys beat an Edina man after he exited a Metro Transit bus. Police say the man suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack. The two teens robbed and stabbed another man nearly two weeks later.
Prosecutors also charged 18-year-old Navarr Jodiah Ross of Minneapolis along with the two teens in a third robbery.

"I want to say first, this kind of conduct is just not acceptable," said Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. "I think the Edina police have done a nice job with help from our friends in Minneapolis to bring these three people to us. We will promptly and aggressively prosecute it."
Freeman said the 16-year-old will likely be tried as an adult, but the 13-year-old will not.
"A 13-year-old doesn't have something in their genes that makes them commit crimes," Freeman said. "It's something in what's happening in the environment they're growing up in. We need to make sure they're out of that environment. And they understand this kind of conduct isn't right."
A public meeting on the robberies will be held tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Armatage Community Center in Minneapolis.
