What Twin Cities writer, director, singer and actor Scotty Reynolds likes about Open Eye Figure Theatre's "The Platform Series," is the spotlight it shines on a new generation of puppeteers and performers. For the next three weekends at Open Eye Figure Theatre in Minneapolis, 4/10 - 4/26.

Bloomington Theatre and Art Center Executive Director Andrea Specht thinks the paintings and prints in the exhibition "Girls" effectively capture those 'coming of age' moments all girls pass through on their way to adulthood. At the Groveland Gallery Annex through April 19.

According to Stearns History Museum Executive Director Tim Hoheisel, "Shakey Graves" is the real deal. Tim says "Shakey Graves," aka Alejandro Rose Garcia, is an Austin, Texas-based songwriter who brings a Townes Van Zandt, early Springsteen flavor to his gritty low-fi songs. He's also a one man band, playing guitar, a bass drum and other percussion simultaneously. At the Turf Club in St. Paul on Monday, April 14.
