Police in Sartell say a woman who returned to her vehicle after a stop at McDonald's was abducted and assaulted.
Authorities say the 56-year-old woman went into the fast food restaurant about 9:40 Wednesday night. And when she got back in her vehicle a man in a ski mask was in her back seat. Police say he told her to drive to another location where a second masked man demanded money. Investigators say she was attacked and choked into unconsciousness.
The men drove the woman around the St. Cloud area and eventually pushed her from the vehicle.
WJON radio reports the woman went into Coborn's Superstore in Sauk Rapids about 2 a.m. Thursday and called for help. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital. Sauk police say they found the woman's vehicle abandoned and set on fire.
