Today's music comes from the monks of the Saint John's Abbey Gregorian Chant Schola singing on a new recording of "The Maker" by singer Bobby Vee. Bobby Vee was born in Fargo and lived for many years in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
He had several pop hits in the 1960s and continued performing until three years ago when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. After the diagnosis, members of his family helped him record one more album which is being released today, the 55th anniversary of Bobby Vee's first concert performance.
He was invited to play at a show in Moorhead in place of Buddy Holly who died earlier that day in a plane crash.
