Recovery crews had talked about giving up the search for the fourth victim of a Mississippi River crash until spring just before they found his body.
Winona County Sheriff David Brand says he's grateful recovery crews were able to bring closure to the family of 29-year-old Andrew Kingsbury of La Crosse, Wis.
Area law enforcement agencies and volunteers have conducted an underwater search for Kingsbury since an SUV crashed into the river Jan. 5. If his body wasn't found Sunday, authorities talked about suspending the search until there was open water on the Mississippi.
The Winona Daily News says a dive rescue team from Washington County joined the effort Sunday and located Kingbury's body downstream near the Interstate Bridge.
The bodies of two men who were Kingsbury's childhood friends and a woman were recovered earlier.
