In light of the recent crime around the University of Minnesota campus, lawmakers will be holding a hearing at the State Capitol Tuesday.
"You've got all these different entities protecting our kids," Higher Education Committee Chairwoman Terri Bonoff told MPR News. "I think it's important for the public to be able to have a venue where they hear a comprehensive approach to what we're doing to keep our kids safe."
Campus safety expert S. Daniel Carter joins The Daily Circuit to discuss ways to keep college kids safe, especially on urban campuses that often struggle with higher levels of crime and students living off campus.
