White Earth Band of Ojibwe tribal members approved a new constitution this week. The approval means major changes are afoot in the way the tribal government is run and how people are deemed members of the nation.
Jill Doerfler grew up on the reservation and helped advise the tribe on the constitution effort. She teaches American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth and joins us to discuss what's next for the reservation in northwestern Minnesota.
