The departure of Minnesota Orchestra Music Director Osmo Vanska has left many classical music fans devastated, and wondering about the future of both the orchestra, and classical music in Minnesota. Both sides in the lockout of musicians by management say they want to reach a contract settlement, but it seems likely that it will take months to reach and agreement.
