Wolf researchers from around the world will gather in Duluth this weekend for the International Wolf Symposium, hosted by the International Wolf Center in Ely.
The gathering comes as Minnesota prepares for its second annual wolf hunt next month. The conference will include a session on the controversy, though the Wolf Center has stayed neutral on the issue.
So far, fewer licenses have been issued than last year, but the controversy remains.
