DFL Gov. Mark Dayton raised $217,208 between April and June for next year's re-election bid, his campaign manager announced today.
Dayton, who will seek a second term in 2014, voluntarily filed a report of receipts and expenditures for his campaign committee. Campaign Manager Katharine Tinucci noted that Dayton files quarterly reports for his campaign to highlight the need for increased transparency in campaign finance.
The report, covering January through June, shows total receipts of $249,437. The expenditures and disbursements were $115,504.
Dayton also received his first official endorsement of the campaign. The Minnesota Building and Construction Trades Council endorsed Dayton for re-election today at the group's annual convention in Tower.
