Even an icon needs a little TLC every once in a while. Early birds walking around the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden this morning witnessed Tim Antilla giving a quick lick of paint to the spoon part of Claes Oldenburg's iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry.

According to our photographer Jennifer Simonson who took these pictures, you had to look quick because Mr Antilla worked fast. The touch-up comes four years after the major overhaul for the sculpture  which resulted in a new enamel coating on the cherry.

The Sculpture Garden celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, with a visit by sculptor Oldenburg and "The Sixties," an exhibit of 300 pieces of his work gathered from around the world set for September.
