Gov. Mark Dayton announced today that Katharine Tinucci will manage his 2014 campaign for re-election.
Tinucci currently works as the governor's press secretary and assistant chief of staff. She'll step down from that role on June 7, according to a news release. Dayton said he was delighted by the hire.
"I have the utmost confidence in her acumen, her dedication, and her ability to work well with many different people," Dayton said. "I am grateful for her willingness to assume these major responsibilities, and I know that she will do an excellent job."
Tinucci also worked for Dayton during his 2010 campaign. She served as deputy campaign manager.
The governor's office also announced the promotion of Matt Swenson to serve as press secretary.
