It's the annual Chronicle of Higher Education survey, and University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler is ranked 10th among 57 presidents of the state flagships. Overall, he's 33rd, and the Pioneer Press has him ranked 6th among current and future Big Ten presidents.
A large percentage of his overall compensation -- 90.1 percent -- is base pay. Eighty-nine other presidents have higher percentages.
