Guitarist Robert Fripp ventured far away from his prog-rock roots in the late 70s after moving to New York's Hell's Kitchen, and the post-punk eclecticism shows on his first proper solo album, "Exposure." The gorgeous ballad "North Star," however, takes a number of extra unexpected turns: the song shows a clear influence of the Fleetwood Mac's classic blues tune "Albatross" (also referenced by The Beatles on "Sun King"), and Daryl Hall guests on lead vocal.
