Kerri's book pick was Wingshooters, a coming-of-age novel set in Wisconsin. I'm reading Ten Thousand Saints by Eleanor Henderson, a coming-of-age novel set in New York in the late 80s.
I also want to mention three books about video games:
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is a sci-fi classic from 1985. How come it is taking Hollywood so long to make this into a film? It supposedly will come out next year.
If you are a pop culture-loving member of Gen X, you need to read Ready Player One. I dare you to start reading it (you won't want to stop):
It's from seven years ago, but Steven Johnson's Everything Bad is Good for You is still a great read about how playing computer games, watching TV and other guilty pleasures are, as the title says, good for you.
