Santa Monica College to offer two-tier course pricing The school's governing board has approved a plan to offer certain high-demand classes for a higher price when the regular classes have filled up. It's believed to be the first such scheme in the nation. (Los Angeles Times)

Kettering Offers Fixed Tuition Guarantee For 10 Semesters Kettering University will offer a fixed-tuition guarantee for all undergraduate students beginning in 2012-13, becoming the first Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) university in Michigan and one of only a handful in the nation to offer the cost-saving guarantee.  Kettering has also eliminated all academically related fees in its all-inclusive tuition package. A study found that the female players in the tournament continue to out-graduate their male counterparts, and that graduation disparities between blacks and whites persist but are considerably less pronounced among women.
