I have a story today about Rushford-Peterson, a school district in southeast Minnesota that has a school building that was built in 1906. Officials there are concerned there isn't enough local property tax base to afford the $29 million price tag for a sorely-needed building. So, they're asking for state funding.

While it's not unprecedented, K-12 school projects are a rarity in the bonding bill that state lawmakers usually approve every other year. It's causing lawmakers to wrestle with whether they should change the long tradition of not funding K-12 projects with state bonding bill money. What do you think? Comment below and answer our poll:
