After hearing that green technology is the new hot thing these days, I read that Duane Carrow, director of renewable energy programs at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, is singing a different tune.
He tells the Marshall Independent:
"Green jobs have not lived up to the hype. Everybody from the president on down said green jobs were going to save the economy. It hasn't happened."
But he says biofuels and wind power have been helpful to the region.
