Money will be an issue for me when choosing a college. I looked at schools farther away, like Cornell University and University of California, Davis, but I just can’t afford to pay that much for an undergraduate degree. My parents have agreed to pay only the equivalent of in-state tuition, and I don’t want an exorbitant amount of debt when I get out of school.
-- Minnetonka High School senior Abigail Hansen in her introductory blog post in The New York Times. Hansen is one of eight students from around the country describing their search process for the paper.
Her choices at the moment: the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin - Madison and Iowa State University.
