The Gustavus Adolphus has lined up Gustavus Adolphus College's "awards" among this year's college rankings results in its recent article, What do rankings really mean?

Pretty nifty.

But how much do students and others pay attention to them?

Apparently, not too many who are familiar with American higher education.

Robert Morse, director of data resources at U.S.News & World Report -- publisher of the most popular rankings -- tells the Weekly: 

“I think international and first-generation students weigh them most heavily."
