The Mahnomen Health Center in Mahnomen, Minn., will receive nearly $300,000 in federal grant funds for an electronic health records system.
The money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is part of nearly $12 million in grants to 40 rural health networks in remote areas of the U.S.
The funds are intended to help "safety net providers" acquire state-of-the-art health information technology equipment, install broadband networks and train staff.
