Last week marked the 34th anniversary of one of Minnesota's most notorious murder cases. It was June 27, 1977 when heiress Elizabeth Congdon was found dead in her bedroom at the elegant Glensheen mansion in Duluth. A nurse was found dead on the staircase.

One of the private investigators who looked into that case, working with defense attorney Ron Meshbesher, was Vincent Carraher. Carraher has spent 40 years as a criminal defense investigator and has worked on some well known cases throughout Minnesota.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Carraher, who's written a new book about his career called "What Happened to Lady Justice."
