An 8-year-old girl has been found safe after she was reported missing in the western Twin Cities.
Authorities say Jordan Arend was found about 5 p.m. Tuesday at a friend's house about five hours after she was reported missing.
Jordan was attending Bible school at a church in the Orono area.
Hennepin County sheriff's office spokeswoman Lisa Kiava says the girl was inside the church with a large group of students and teachers. Kiava says Jordan was to meet someone in another part of the church but didn't show up, and no one knew where she was.
Jordan was found safe at a friend's house a couple of miles from the church. About 70 law enforcement personnel searched for her, along with a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter.
