North Dakota National Guard soldiers are back on flood duty in Fargo.
The metro area is in its third straight year of battling major spring flooding of the Red River. The Guard says volunteer soldiers on Tuesday began operating traffic control points, helping with the rollout of sandbags to neighborhoods.
The Guard has helped in the flood fights of past years and says it has more than 3,000 soldiers and airmen available to respond to North Dakota flooding this year.
