Mpls police seek help to solve girl's shooting

Minneapolis police are teaming up with Crime Stoppers to help solve a shooting that paralyzed a 12-year-old girl.

Police say Guadalupe Galeno-Hernandez was standing on the steps at 3400 Chicago Avenue South on Nov. 12 when a man fired a handgun from a vehicle. The girl was hit in the neck and is still hospitalized.

Police say they need fresh information to help solve the case. So they called upon Crime Stoppers for help. Crime Stoppers gives the public a way to provide information to police anonymously. The group can also offer rewards for information that is vital to a case.

In this case, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000.
