Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier says Brett Favre has not yet passed a concussion test and can't play in the season finale at Detroit on Sunday.
Frazier said another test could be administered later Thursday or Friday. The coach, who spoke on a conference call with Detroit-area reporters, said the latest Favre could be tested would be Saturday.
Favre has said this will be his final season and the Lions game will be the last one for his team this year.
The three-time MVP suffered a concussion 11 days ago in a game against Chicago and his NFL record for consecutive starts was snapped at 297 on Dec. 13.
Earlier this week, Favre was fined $50,000 fine by the NFL for not cooperating with the league's investigation into inappropriate messages and below-the-belt photos sent to a Jets game-day hostess in 2008.
