Report: Mpls no longer in running for 2012 DNC

The website Politico is reporting that Minneapolis and Cleveland have been "all but" eliminated from the list of possible 2012 Democratic National Convention sites.

Minneapolis hoped to follow St. Paul, which hosted the 2008 GOP convention. The website reported that the party seemed to be leaning against Minneapolis largely because that convention was held in St. Paul.

Politico hasn't identified its sources, but it says the choice for Democrats in two years has been whittled to St. Louis and Charlotte.
