What college is all about: A list of colleges with the highest-earning graduates. No, it has no Minnesota campuses. And no, it's not really what college is all about.

Tommie graduation = spring on campus: Now that construction work at the Univ. of St. Thomas is complete, graduation will be back on campus this year -- but only in the spring. The university made the decision earlier this year to end the December graduation ceremonies due to their proximity to Christmas. (Note: Graduation doesn't actually take place under the real campus arches, but rather a large replica of them.)

Another search:  A committee at Concordia University in St. Paul is beginning its search for a replacement for the Rev. Dr. Robert Holst, the current president, who announced last month that he'll be retiring at the end of this coming academic year.

Yes, it's tougher being a loner: Wired magazine has piece on a study that shows that freshmen who returned for a second year exhibited much higher Facebook usethan those who dropped out. The idea is that Facebook is a reflection of their connection to others and involvement in the world around them.

UMore: The University of Minnesota is assessing the environmental impact of its planned University of Minnesota Outreach, Research and Education (UMore) Park, a eco-industrial community next to Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount that would be home to up to 30,000 people.
