The man wanted in a brazen St. Paul bank robbery has been arrested in Wisconsin.
The FBI says the 56-year-old suspect, from St. Paul, was arrested early Thursday by Wisconsin state troopers responding to a traffic crash. The troopers found the man's vehicle was wanted in Wednesday's robbery at Park Midway Bank.
The suspect was hurt in the crash and is being treated at a Madison, Wis., hospital.
The robbery happened at a bank in a residential area of St. Paul. Police say a masked gunman took a teller as a hostage as he left the bank, but she was able to escape.
The FBI says the robber fired twice at an off-duty police officer who was working as a security guard at the bank. The officer was not hurt.
