Torchlight Parade expected to draw thousands

The Aquatennial Torchlight Parade is expected to draw thousands of spectators to downtown Minneapolis.

The parade starts at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and will run down Hennepin Avenue from the Basilica of St. Mary near Dunwoody Boulevard to the end at 5th Street. It's expected to wrap up around 10:30 p.m.

The city of Minneapolis is encouraging parade-goers to bring refillable water bottles. The city is stationing portable water fountains at six locations near the parade route.
