The state's Department of Natural Resources lifted seasonal burning restrictions in all counties on Friday.
The department made the announcement after heavy rains in northeastern Minnesota sharply reduced the threat of wildfires.
DNR officials also lifted restrictions on campfires and fireworks in northeastern Minnesota.
In a statement released Friday, the department cautioned that some municipalities may have stricter open burning restrictions and urged residents to check with local authorities before lighting fires.
