The Twin Ports are gearing up for a visit by eight tall ships in late July.
In honor of its 35th anniversary, Minnesota Sea Grant is bringing author Thad Koza to the University of Minnesota Duluth on Thursday evening for a 7 p.m. tall ships slide show and lecture.
Koza is author of the book "Tall Ships: the Fleet for the 21st Century."
Attendees will see photographs of the tall ships, and hear tales of his voyages aboard the old-style sailing vessels in the Orient, the Mediterranean and Europe.
